Fishing Report - Ucluelet/Tofino
Halibut fishing in the Ucluelet area was fantastic with reel burning Chinook Salmon heating up by early June. The Halibut averaged 15 to 30 pounds and showed up everywhere on the West coast banks. Limit catches of Halibut found the box in under 2 hours.
Chinooks (Kings) are aggressive feeders and show in great numbers and size from Ucluelet to the calm waters of Barkley Sound and Bamfield.Coho's(silvers) are found in the top 60 feet of water and are a blast on a fly rod!
When not battling Halibut or Salmon guests are treated with frolicking Humpback Whales and Orca or Killer Whales hunting tasty Salmon treats also.
