Hello fellow fisher people! Here is a quick report from my family salmon trip on July 18-19...we had a wicked time out there in the salt off Ucluelet with Todd Jenning's High Roller Charters! We did 2 afternoon charters from 2pm-8pm. We fished approximately 6-7 miles out from Ucluelet on both days @ a spot called "The Bottleneck?" or to the local guides, "Inside South" 
which is what you call a sub-surface bank (flat). There were 4 of us fishing(Dad, Mom, Uncle and Myself) and in 2 days we kept 12 Chinook in the 15-20 lb range and lost several. All the fish were @ roughly 100+ feet down. We caught them on Hootchie w/purple haze flasher and Herring in teaser w/purple stripe flasher combinations. We would start off each day by sending the gear down to 130ft on the riggers and start looking for bait balls on the depth sounder. Soon after encountering the bait, we would get fish! Cool! It was really great to see my mother, who hasn't fished in years, battle and keep a 22 lber! The highlight and defining moment of this trip was this 27 lb fatty caught by my Dad (left)...It was a joy to see!

Good Robert and Genuine Todd - Thank you both for such a wonderful trip... The pictures certainly capture the fantastic day. GT – you are famous amongst my friends and family the pics are on my fridge! I hope you survived your sister’s wedding and have a great couple of weeks as the fishing season winds down.

Thanks for another great fishing trip, Todd. Even though I brought a fourth buddy along this time, I knew that you would come through for us. We caught 44 fish in two days. Now that's performance!! We also enjoyed the whales and our battle with that huge seal. I still can't believe the size of that monster. We will be back again for more adventures this year. It's nice to see some of our photos on your web site.

They say a Picture TALKS a thousand words , well here are 4000 words for ya. My ex wife and her husband put me onto High Roller charters over 6 years ago! There has been no looking back ever since , and we are booking up to 10 days a year just to fit in friends and family for our yearly trips . The fishing is great as Todd hunts the Salmon and Hallibut on good days and bad, till the cooler was too full. I love the great experience each year, but I must say that the full cooler is a beautiful bonus each and every time , I love that he Hunts the fish till they can't hide no more! Just like the 34 pounder last year on my Dads 80 th birthday and watching him bring that monster up to the boat Man I can't thank you enough for the look on my Dads face . I am very much looking forward to this year and have gone out to buy BIGGER COOLERS, and MORE FILM. Oh did I mention that I will bring the Jerky and Beer. TODD you get a bigger Scale and Net cause I got A Feeling. See you in August or sooner!
