Introducing the guides for Highroller Charters,working out of Ucluelet on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
Some of you may already know about the fantastic Salmon and Halibut fishing available in British Columbia,but you may not know of the experience you will receive with Highroller Charters' enthusiastic and knowlegible guides.
First,let me introduce the owner/operator Todd Jennings. Todd has fished the pristine waters of Vancouver Island since he was three years old, tagging along with his father,who was a respected commercial Salmon fisherman. Todd caught the fishing bug early and honed his skills to become one of the top guides on Vancouver Island. He has over 20 years guiding experience all over Vancouver Island,but has found Ucluelet to be the most consistent producer of Salmon and Halibut. Todd takes his job very seriously but doesn't consider it work, rather a way of life. He can always be heard saying there is no better feeling than helping someone land their very first Halibut or watching their expression as they battle a huge Chinook Salmon while gently riding the waves off the beautiful coast of Vancouver Island.
Highroller Charters purchased a second boat at the beginning of 2008 to keep up with the demand as fishing on Vancouver Island has become very popular and tourists have discovered Ucluelet is a beautiful destination.
We have two guides working alternately on our new boat,which is a 25 foot Tiara Pursuit fully equipped with all the necessary safety equipment to ensure your West coast of Vancouver Island fishing excursion is a safe and memorable trip of a lifetime!
One of our guides is Michael Bob. Mike has been guiding for 5 years and is extremely passionate about fishing. He has a competitive nature and strives to give his clients the best fishing experience possible. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Mike has had the opportunity to fish up and down the coast in such fishing hot spots like Ucluelet, Tofino, Bamfield and Port Alberni. He is highly skilled and keeps his guests entertained with the many stories and tales of fish caught and the big one's that got away. Highroller Charters is very happy to have Mike as one of our guides!
We are happy to announce that David Butler will be guiding with us again this upcoming season of 2009. David began as a client of Highroller Charters about 10 years ago,when he first tested the waters of Ucluelet, British Columbia. David was a keen, quick learner and showed interest in becoming a guide from the beginning. David has fished Vancouver Island's plentiful fishing grounds for years and despite 2008 being his first year of guiding, his results and compliments from his clients speak for themselves. Always a gentleman, David is very well liked and was accepted by his fishing peers immediately. Highroller Charters looks forward to having David on our team of guides for years to come!
